I am so grateful to be ending this year in better health. My first cataract surgery went well and my second one is coming in a few days, so I will be seeing clearly by Christmas. I am particularly grateful to all the friends who helped out when I was ill this year, and to my quilt clients who have patiently waited for me to recover so I could do my best work on their quilts. Thank You.
From our family to yours, wishing you all a happy, healthy, and safe holiday season.
Well, that’s the “Thanks” part, now for the “Giving”. Here is the template for making your own Notebook cover.
Place your good quality cardstock (110#) on the table in the same orientation as shown in the diagram. Set a compass to 3.75″ and draw the arc.
Position a ruler 4 1/8″ from the edge and score. Move the ruler 5 1/8″ from the scored line and score again. Move the ruler 1/4″ from that scored line and score once more. Next, place your ruler 1/2″ from the bottom edge and score all the way across.
Cut away the arc and the 1/2″ section shown in the diagram.
Fold on the scored lines.
Tape the bottom flap in place. Fold the section with the cut out arc to the inside and tape across the bottom to form the pocket.
The rightmost flap adheres to the back of the notebook. You may want to attach a ribbon to the back of the notebook before taping the flap in place.
Decorate the front of the notebook and the inside pocket.
I also offer this as a class because it is much more fun to make these with friends. We met in the Kinsey Quilts classroom for some stamping fun and made these notebooks.
Thanks to everyone for taking my class and Thanks to everyone for visiting my blog.
Wishing you all a blessed holiday season.
